Why I built Dumpling.

I churn credit cards and I live in spreadsheets. At any moment I have a handful of cards open, each working toward a different bonus, and I want to see every swipe as clearly as I see the whole month.

Every app I tried fell short. Some were pricey. Some made their money from my data. The rest kept nudging me toward a new card, a loan or an investment account.

Most of all, none of them were flexible or powerful enough. They decided which categories I could have, how far I could filter, and when I’d hit a limit. Dumpling doesn’t set limits on what you can do.

So I built the tool I wanted: simple enough to check in a few minutes, flexible enough to fit how I really spend, and detailed enough to go from one coffee to the big picture in a click.
